Can travel items actually change the way you cruise for the batter? I think so. I’m going to share with you 12 high-tech and low-tech travel gadgets that you are going to want to bring on your cruise.
These tech gadgets and some travel items are absolutely brilliant even if you’re not super into tech. I think that you would like to have some of these items.
Okay, let’s get started.
So, the first item is a little bit new to me. It is a coffee cup holder that is really absolutely perfect when you’re traveling. You’re going to be able to just put it right on top of your handle, for your carry-on, or your luggage and you’re going be able to have your coffee with you. If you’re like me and you like to have your coffee with you or even your water this is great especially when you are in the airport.
Next up, we have noise cancelling headphones. Now any kind of headphones are going to do. They’re going to make it more comfortable for you while you travel and while you’re working out. Or even on the ship, if you’re maybe on the pool deck and you don’t want to hear all of that music. You can use these headphones and ideally the ones that are noise canceling. Those are absolutely perfect.
This is definitely something that you want to bring with you. If you are flying, you do not want your luggage to be overweight. So, whether you’re flying domestically or you’re flying internationally. A luggage scale that is electronic is an absolute must.
In my opinion, this is a must-have for basically every cruiser. So, if you know somebody who’s going on a cruise, get them this as a gift. That will be just perfect because the majority of cruise cabins have only one or two electric outlets. And most cruise cabins, unless it’s a really new cruise ship, don’t have any usb outlets. So, we all bring a lot of things that we need to charge. Nowadays you do want to bring one.
However, it needs to be non-surge protected because the surge protected power bars that you may have at home are actually banned on cruise ships. You don’t want it to be confiscated.
Now, I don’t think that this is a must-have, however, if you are traveling internationally it is something that you want to bring. You’ll need a power adapter for any of your hotel rooms to be able to charge your devices.
This is great to keep all of your wires, your charger boxes, your portable power bank and basically anything you need to stay organized.
When you’re going on a cruise, especially if you don’t want to pack too much, bringing books ends up getting so heavy. If you have your kindle e-reader then you’re able to read books on your kindle.
One thing that I noticed with my recent phone is that the battery does last much longer. However, I was on my last cruise and there were days that we spent the entire day off the cruise ship.
I was doing some videotaping. I was taking photos and then, honestly by the end of the day, I was super low on power. So, what I realized is even with the phone that has a good amount of battery, I still do need to bring my portable power bank.
What a lot of people are doing is they’re placing air tags in their luggage and basically this way your luggage is never truly lost at least you know where it is located. This is good if you’re flying to your cruise ship but it’s even good on the cruise ship. Because when you disembark from the cruise ship, if you do traditional disembarkation then you will have to find your luggage at the end of your cruise. This just makes it a little bit faster
This is a low-tech item that is absolutely brilliant. You can put your smartphone in here and really it seals up really well. On top of being able to put your phone in it, you can also keep the other items that you want to keep safe and with you. This could include money, your cruise card and your credit card.
This really is something just very handy to have. I go everywhere with one on hand. They’re so flexible now that they take really good photos.
Another low-tech travel gadget that you want to bring with you now, especially if you are cruising to Alaska. But even if you’re not cruising to Alaska, having binoculars is going to be something that you’re going to appreciate.
When you are at sea, you can sometimes see whales in the distance, you can see dolphins and other kinds of marine life. So, you can actually look through your lightweight binoculars and you’ll really enhance your cruise.
Happy cruising!
