Quantum of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas and Serenade of the Seas to cruise in local water this 2021-22 cruising season.
Great news to everyone in Australia who are missing the cruising experience! Royal Caribbean International will be sending three of their ships, Quantum of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas and Serenade of the Seas, to cruise in our local waters this 2021-22 season.
Sydney and Brisbane will be hosting the two Quantum-class ships for the first time. Quantum of the Seas, which is the newest and the most high-tech ship among the three, will be in Brisbane while Ovation of the Seas will be in Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal. Serenade of the Seas will also come from Sydney.
Offering 67 cruises to 33 destinations around South Pacific, New Zealand and Australia including Eden, Cairns, Adelaide and Darwin, these cruise ships are expected to contribute about $165 million into Australian economy during the season.
As per Gavin Smith, managing director of RCI, Australia and NZ, this season of 2021/22 will show us the most technologically-advanced fleet to ever sail Australia which includes the two Quantum-class smartships. Smith also emphasized that they will be providing the famous Royal Caribbean holiday that Aussies know and love.
Of course, health and protocols will be strictly adopted and implemented on the ships.
Smith said that their top priority will be keeping the health and safety of the guests, crew and the communities and places that the cruise ships will visit as they continue to focus commit to Australian cruising in 2021 and 2022.
They are incorporating the best available insights from public health, science, environmental and engineering sectors and also working closely with local health and government authorities.
A mobile app will be available in the tech-savvy ships that will streamlines the experience of the guest and thus, can limit the contact and crowd gathering. The app can be used for staggered arrival times and in-app reservations.
Quantum of the Seas offers her best bold line-up activities like the iFly skydiving simulator, North Star glass viewing capsule and FlowRider surf simulator. Aside from that, this smartship will offer the fascinating entertainment facilities and 18 dining options which offer food from all over the world.
Quantum of the Seas replaces the previous schedule of Radiance of the Seas. She will be sailing 26 times from 2-to-12 nights to the South Pacific, New Zealand and Australia.
Same as th previous mentioned ship, Ovation of the Seas will also offer the thrilling iFly, North Star and FlowRider activities. She will be sailing 24 times from 3-to-13 nights to a range of destinations also to the South Pacific, New Zealand and Australia.
Serenade of the Seas will have ocean-facing glass elevators, the 12metre, rock-climbing wall, poolside movie nights under the stars and a variety of dining venues such as Chops Grille, Giovanni’s Table and Izumi. She will offer 17 sailings of 2-to-15 nights also to the South Pacific, NZ and Australia.
